     Scalloped Potatoes

Ingredients
3 tablespoons butter
1 small white or yellow onion, diced
4 large garlic cloves, minced
5 tablespoons flour
1 can chicken or vegetable broth
1 1/2 to 2 cups milk
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 teaspoons fresh thyme or 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
 
4 pounds potatoes thinly sliced in rounds
Paprika

Instructions
Melt butter in microwave,add onions and cook for 2 minutes, add garlic and cook until onions are tender and garlic is fragrant. Add broth and milk and whisk in flour and seasonings. Microwave in 90 second intervals, whisking in between until the sauce has thickened.
Grease a casserole dish, spread the potatoes in layers, alternating with the sauce. Top with Paprika
Bake covered for 30 minutes and then uncovered for 25-30 more minutes, or until the sauce is bubbly and the potatoes are cooked through.
