2-1/2 C. canned crushed tomatoes

1/4 C. tomato paste
|

2 T. red wine vinegar
|
|
2 T. Worcestershire sauce
|
|
1 T. honey
|
|
1 T. molasses
|

1-1/2 lbs raw boneless skinless chicken breasts, halved
|

1/2 t. each salt and black pepper
|
|
2 C. chopped onions
|
|
|
|
2 C. chopped red bell peppers
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|

Instructions |
|
|
In slow cooker, combine crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, vinegar,
Worcestershire sauce, honey and molasses. Stir to mix.
|

|
Season chicken with salt and pepper, add to slow cooker. Top with
onions and bell peppers. Mix well.
|
|
|
Cover and cook on high for 3-4 hours or on low for 7-8 hours,
until chicken cooked through and veggies softened.
|
|
|
Transfer chicken to large bowl, shred with two forks. Return to slow
cooker, mix well.

Suggestions |
|
1. Serve over cooked spaghetti squash. 2. Serve on flat sandwich bun. 3. Sprinkle part-skim mozzarella on pita, top with sloppy chicken, bake.
