In a large nonstick frying pan over medium heat,
cook the bacon, turning once until crisp, about 4-
6 minutes. Transfer to a plate lined with paper
towels.
In a small bowl, stir together the mayonnaise,
lemon juice, salt and pepper, mixing well.
Toast the bread until golden brown. Lay the
slices on the work surface and spread evenly
with mayonnaise. Divide the turkey equally
among 4 of the slices, then top with cheese and
half of the lettuce. Top the lettuce with a
second slice of bread, mayonnaise side up.
Distribute the tomato evenly, and then the
bacon. Top with the remaining lettuce and then
the remaining bread, mayonnaise down. Press
gently to compact the sandwiches. Secure with
two toothpicks near opposite corners if you
plan to cut them into halves, or 4 if you plan
to cut them into quarters.

Suggestions
To serve, use a serrated knife to cut each sandwich diagonally into halves or quarters.
