     Mom's famous Beef Straganoff

Ingredients
1 1/2 lb or 0.68 Kg Steak cut into strips
1/4 C Flour
Pepper dash
1 /4 C Butter
1 can Mushrooms Pieces and drained (mom use mushroom slices)
1/2 C Onions chopped
1 small Garlic clove minced
1 can Beef Broth
1 c Sour Cream
 
3 C Egg Noodles cooked
Poppy Seeds and Parsley for garnish.

Instructions
Combine the flour and pepper in a bag and put the steak strips in the bag and toss to coat. In fry pan add the butter and meat to brown. Add the drained mushrooms, chopped onion, minced garlic clove and brown lightly with the meat. Stir in the beef both and cover for about 1 hour or until meat is tender; stirring occasionally. Gradually stir in the sour cream; cook over low heat for 5 minutes. Serve over cooked noodles
Mom served the Stroganoff on a tray. She placed the noodles first on the tray with a concave in the middle. She then spooned the meat mixture in the concave centre of the noodles. On top of the noodles she sprinkled poppy seeds and garnished with parsley.
If 4 times the amount use a roasting pan. If using a crock pot follow the steps above. Place the mixture in the crock pot and cook at low for 5 hours. This recipe will fill the crockpot 3/4 full. If less than half full the time to cook will be less. Add the sour cream at the end of the cooking process as discribed above.
