     Beef Stroganoff

Ingredients
2 lb beef stew meat
2 Tbsp flour
1/2 c chopped onion
1 clove minced garlic
1 1/4 cup beef consumme or beef broth
1/2 c ketchup
2 Tbsp Worchstershire sauce
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
 
6 oz fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 c sour cream
12 oz pkg egg noodles, cooked
1 Tbsp butter
1 Tbsp poppy seeds

Instructions
Cut stew meat into 1/4-inch strips(it's easier to do if the meat is partially frozen.) Dip stew meat in flour and fry with onion in small amount of oil until browned. Add beef broth, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and mushrooms. Simmer for at least 1 hour. Add sour cream right before serving. Serve over cooked noodles sprinkled with butter and poppy seeds.
Note- Can prepare the meat and sauce (minus the sour cream) the day before, and refrigerate. Reheat and add sour cream right before serving.
Serving Suggestions
I mixed meat sauce and noodles together and put in crockpot to take to Brock & Pearl's. Just don't need to cook it any longer.
