     Scalloped Apples

Ingredients
8 medium apples, cored, peeled, sliced
1/3 c sugar
2 Tbsp cornstarch
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
2 Tbsp butter, cut into small cubes
 

Instructions
Place apples in a 2-1/2 quart dutch oven. Combine the sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon and nutmeg; sprinkle over apples and toss to coat. Dot with butter.
Place on medium/low on simmer burner, stirring occasionally until apples are softened, about 15-20 minutes.
