Sift flour once, measure and sift again with baking powder. Cream shortening , sugar, salt and vanilla. Add unbeaten eggs, cream thoroughly. Add flour alternately with milk. Bake in greased 8 inch pans
at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. Spread with coconut pecan icing.
