     Date Nut Loaf

Ingredients
1 1/2 Cup Sugar
1 Teaspoon Salt
1 Pound Pitted Whole Dates, roughly chopped
2 Cups English Walnuts, coarsely chopped
5 Eggs, well beaten
1 1/2 Cups Flour, sifted
1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
1 Cup Whole Brazil Nuts, coarsely chopped
1 10 Ounce Jar Maraschino Cherries, roughly chopped
 
1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract

Instructions
Mix together all dry ingredients. Add dates, nuts and cherries, stirring until all are coated by flour. Beat eggs and add vanilla. Stirring by hand, add wet ingredients to dry ingredients until well mixed. Pour into 3 small, well greased loaf pans lined with parchment paper. Bake at 325 degrees for about 1 hour.
