Mix as usual for butter cakes- Cream Crisco and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time,
mixing well after each addition. Beat in the vanilla extract until well mixed. Combine all of the dry
ingredients. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture alternately with the milk, beating well after each
addition. Pour batter into well greased medium sized loaf pans. Bake at 350 degrees for about 40
minutes. Remove from pans while warm and let cool on wire racks.
