     White Cake

Ingredients
4 Cups Swan's Down Cake Flour, sifted
2 1/2 Cups Sugar
1 Teaspoon Salt
5 Teaspoons Baking Powder
1 Cup Crisco Shortening
1 1/2 Cups Milk
1 Teaspoon Vanillla Extract
1 Teaspoon Almond Extract
6 Egg Whites
 

Instructions
Sift flour, salt and baking powder into mixing bowl.
Drop in the shortening, add milk and blend. Add extracts. Beat 2 minutes.
Add egg whites and beat 2 more minutes.
Grease cake pans- 1 9x13 inch plus 1 9x9 inch pan. Or 2 layer cake pans plus 1 9x9 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees until done.
Serving Suggestions
Top with chocolate icing.
