Cream shortening and sugar.
Add eggs one at a time and beat well.
Sift flour, baking soda, salt and 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon together.
Alternately add flour mixture and coffee to the creamed mixture.
Stir in apples and nuts.
Pour into a greased and floured 9x13 inch cake pan.
Top raw batter with sugar-cinnamon mix-
1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
1/2 Teaspoon Cinnamon, ground
Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until done.
