1/2 Cup Sugar

2 Eggs, slightly beaten

1 Cup Sour Milk

1 Teaspoon Baking Soda

2 1/2 cups Flour
|
|
Dash of Salt
|
|
1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
|

2 Teaspoons Cinnamon, ground
|
|
2 Cups Apples, diced
|
|
1/2 Cup Nuts, chopped
|
|
TOPPING-
|
|
1/2 Cup White Sugar
|
|
1/2 Teaspoon Cinnamon, ground
|
|
1/2 Cup Nuts
|
|
|

|
|
|
|

|

|

Instructions |
|
|
Cream shortening, sugar and eggs.
Put baking soda in sour milk and set aside for 5 minutes before adding to the creamed mixture.

Mix all dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture.
Blend well.
|
|
|
Add diced apples and chopped nuts. Mix well.
Pour into a 9x13 inch cake pan.

|
Top batter with mixture-
1/2 Cup White Sugar
1/2 Teaspoon Cinnamon, ground
1/2 Cup Nuts, chopped
Bake at 350 degrees until done.
