     Apple Crisp, Miles Community School

Ingredients
Apples, peeled and sliced
Spices, to taste
Sugar, to taste
1 Stick Butter, at room temperature
1 Cup Brown Sugar
3/4 Cup Quick Oats
2/3 Cup Flour
Cinnamon or Nutmeg, to taste
Small Pinch of Salt
 

Instructions
Prepare desired amount of apples. Sweeten and season as desired, as for apple pie. Place in the bottom of a 9x9 inch pan.
Mix softened butter with brown sugar, quick oats, flour, cinnamon or nutmeg, and salt. Spread across the top of the apple mixture.
Bake at 350 degrees until done. Apple slices will feel soft when pierced by a fork and the top will be golden.
