     Large Baked Custard

Ingredients
8 Cups Milk
12 Eggs
3/4 Cup Sugar
Pinch of Salt
2 Teaspoons Vanilla Extract
Nutmeg, to taste
Cinnamon, to taste
 

Instructions
Scald milk. Set aside.
Beat eggs slightly and pour into an ovenproof dish. Add sugar, salt and vanilla extract. Gradually add scalded milk and nutmeg to taste. Stir well. Sprinkle top with cinnamon to taste.
Insert the dish into a pan of hot water. Bake at 350 degrees until knife inserted near center comes out clean.
Serving Suggestions
Sometimes, the custard was served with heavy cream poured over it.
