4 Quarts Medium Sized Cucumbers, thinly sliced
|

6 Medium White Onions, sliced
|
|
1 Green Pepper, sliced
|
|
3 Cloves Garlic, sliced
|
|
1/3 Cup Coarse Salt
|
|
Cracked Ice, enough to cover the vegetables
|
|
3 Cups White Vinegar
|
|
5 Cups Sugar
|
|
|
|
1 1/2 Teaspoons Celery Seed
|
|
1 1/2 Teaspoons Turmeric
|
|
2 Tablespoons Mustard Seed
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|

Instructions |
|
|
Combine cucumbers, onions, green pepper and garlic.
Add salt and cover with cracked ice.
Mix well and let stand 3 hours.
Drain thoroughly.
|

|
Combine all other ingredients and pour over the cucumber mix.
Heat to boiling and bottle in sterilized pint jars.
|
|
|
NOTE- Makes 8 pints.
|
