     Best Chocolate Cream Pie

Ingredients
1 9 inch pie crust baked
4 egg yolks beaten
1 1/2 cups white sugar
4 Tbs. cornstarch
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3 cups milk ( whole, 2%, 1% or canned milk )
1 Tbs butter
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
 
whipped topping

Instructions
In large mixing bowl cream together egg yolks and sugar. Mix in cornstarch, cocoa powder, and salt. Add milk and stir gently. Pour in glass bowl. Microwave for 8-9 min. stirring EVERY 2 min. until bubbly and thickened. Stir in butter and vanilla. Cool slightly then pour into shell. Chill well before serving. Garnish with whipped topping.
tip- I like to add coconut and chopped pecans to mixture after cooking to make a German chocolate pie.
