Dice onions and saute in oil in sauce pan. Dice garlic and add to onions.

When onions and garlic are transluscent add oregano and basil. Stirring until coated in oil.

Add tomato sauce and simmer in sauce pan for approximately 30-45 minutes on low heat. While sauce is simmering, brown hamburger meat or meatballs, Italian sausage and pepparoni. Drain off any grease. Add to sauce and simmer at 30 - 45 minutes. Beef shortribs are also great when they have been slow cooked and added to sauce (we call it fall-apart meat). This sauce can simmer for hours on low heat or in crockpot.

Boil spaghetti as directed or box or make homeade pasta according to recipe. Drain cooked spaghetti add a little italian dressing to keep pasta from sticking together or/and also add a little of the sauce.

Serve over pasta, top with parmesean cheese. Serve with Italian bread and salad.
