Using a large bread knife cut the entire bread, top side down, loaf in half evenly on a large cutting board. Place the bottom bread on a foil lined large cookie sheet. Layer the ham on the bottom bread and the swiss on top of it. Preheat the oven to 350. In a small pot, over low heat, combine the butter and all the other ingredients and briskly whisk until the mustard is as smooth as you can get it.

Pour about a quarter of the mixture over the top half of the bread cut side up. Place the top of the bread back on the ham and cheese bottom. Gently cut the bread top along the pre-cut lines to the ham/cheese layer and then pour the remaining butter mixture SLOWLY over the top of the bread evenly so it seeps into the cracks. Gently spread the lumpy parts over the tops.

Bake the sliders for about 15 minutes covered loosely with foil and then another ten minutes uncovered. The cheese should be melted and the meat heated through. Once out of the oven, cool for 5 minutes then slide the large bread sandwich onto a large cutting board and cut through to the bottom where you already pre-cut the tops. Serve hot or cold. Refrigerate leftovers.

I buy a small container of Hillshire Farms black forest ham and another of honey ham and make a thick layer of ham using both hams. Most recipes will only call for 1 package but I like the meat thick. The package of about 11 slices of baby swiss slices allows you to overlap the cheese.
