     Maple Pecan Loaf

Ingredients
1 1/2 C flour
1 tsp baking powder
2/4 C unsalted butter, cut into cubes
1/2 C light brown sugar
1/2 C roughly chopped pecans
3 whole large eggs
1 tbl milk
5 tbl maple syrup
1 tsp maple extract
 

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350. Grease or line a 9x5 inch loaf pan. In a large bowl, stir together flour and baking powder. Add cubed butter. Using a pastry cutter or a fork mix until incorporated and has texture of breadcrumbs. stir in sugar and pecans.
In a separate bowl beat together eggs and milk . Stir in maple syrup and extract. Add to flour mixture and mix until just combined. Pour into pan and bake 50-60 minutes or until a tester comes out clean. Remove from oven and cool.
If desired make a maple confectioners icing
