1 onion, finely chopped

1 large carrot, peeled and grated
|

1 celery stalk, finely chopped

1 1/2 lbs minced beef
|
|
1 glass red wine
|
|
700 ml bottle passata
|
|
1/4 cup tomatoe paste
|
|
1 can tomato sauce
|
|
|
|
1 T garlic powder
|
|
10 fresh basil leaves
|
|
3/4 tsp. Pepper
|
|
1/2 tsp. Salt
|

Instructions |
|
|
Heat oil in frying pan. Add onion carrots and celery, cook for 5
minutes. Add minced beef, cook five minutes. Stir pan cook
beef another 5 minutes.

Add remaining ingredients, simmer 1 hour.
