Ingredients
Parsnips, washed (and peeled, optional)
Bacon Grease, enough to fry the sliced parsnips
Salt, to taste
Black Pepper, to taste
 

Instructions
Halve parsnips by slicing lengthwise. Heat bacon grease in skillet. When grease is hot, add parsnips and fry until tender and golden brown, turning as needed to keep from burning.
