Heat bacon grease in skillet until moderately hot.
Add potatoes and onion.
Fry until nearly tender.
Add green peppers.
Continue frying, stirring frequently, until potatoes are tender and golden brown, even crispy, on the
outside.
These are good even if slightly burnt.
Remove from skillet and sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Serve with ketchup.
