     Shrimp Chili Fry (Goan)

Ingredients
750 gms medium shrimp (Cleaned)
To Marinate-
¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
½ teaspoon chili powder
Juice of one small lime
Other Ingredients-
4 large onions chopped
5 green chilies chopped
3-4 petals of Kokum
 
2 cloves of garlic crushed (optional)
Oil as required
Salt to taste

Instructions
Marinate the shrimp with salt, chili , turmeric and lime juice and set aside.
In a kadai / large frying pan add the oil. Now on high flame fry the shrimp on both sides till about 70 % done.
Put the shrimp into a plate and set aside. Add oil to the pan (put crushed garlic if you are using).
Fry the chilies and onions till the onions start turning brown. Add the fried shrimp to this and sauté well. Cook till the shrimp are done. Check salt to taste.
