     Ice Box Cookies

Ingredients
3/4 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1/2 cup nuts
2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon soda
1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 teaspoon vanilla
 
Instructions
Cream butter and sugar; add eggs and vanilla; beat well. Mix in dry ingredients and nuts.
Mold into rolls. Wrap in waxed paper. Chill in refrigerator.
Slice and bake at 425 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes.
