Grease muffin pans or paper cups.
Combine flour, b powder, nutmeg, cloves, ginger.
Beat butter and shortening 30 sec. Add sugar and vanilla, beat until combined. Add eggs one at a time, beating well. Add flour and buttermilk alternately to beaten mixture, beating on low speed.
