     Wild buffet Rice

Ingredients
1 c wild rice
10 oz can chicken broth
10 oz can water
10 pork sausages, browned and drained and cut into small
1/2 pound sliced mushrooms
1 large onion sliced
2 T flour
1 c whipping cream
1/2 t salt
 
1/4 t oregano
1/4 t sage, marjoram, thyme
1/2 c slivered almonds

Instructions
Wash rice and combine with broth and water in a large covered pot. Brng to a boil and reduce heat to do a slow boil for one hour until rice begins to open and is soft.
Sauté onions and mushrooms in skillet. Addcooked sausage and onion mixture to rice. In same skillet on medium heat and combine flour and cream, stirring constantly to make a creamy sauce. Add more cream or water if necessary. Bring mixture to a boil for three minutes. Add seasonings. Pour rice mixture sauce and almonds into large casserole. Mix well and bake at 3-50 for 30 minutes.
