     Old Fashioned Saskatoon PIe

Ingredients
Pastry for 9 inch double pie crust
4 cups fresh or frozen saskatoons
2 tbsp water
2 tbsp lemon juice
3/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 tbsp Minute Tapioca
1 tbsp butter or margarine
 

Instructions
Simmer berries, water and lemon juice over low hear to 4 to 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in sugar, tapioca and butter. Cool and pour into pastry lined pie plate. Dampen the edge and cover with top crust. Trim and seal edges. Gash or prick top and brush with milk and sprinkle with sugar.
Bake at 450 F for 15 minutes then reduce heat to 350 F and bake 30 to 35 minutes longer or until done.
