     Quiche - Sausage quiche

Ingredients
1 unbaked deep-dish 9 inch pastry shell
1/2 lb hot pork sausage
3/4 cup heavy cream
3/4 cup half and half
4 eggs
1 - 2 tbl. cornstarch
1 1/4 cups shredded cheddar
dash of pepper
 
sautéed veggies, like peppers and onions (optional)

Instructions
Brown meat in skillet. Drain fat and set aside. Sautée veggies (if used) until tender. Blend next four ingredients until smooth. Stir in meat, cheese, and pepper. Add sautéed veggies.
Put this into pastry shell Bake in 350 deg. oven for 40-45 minutes, or until brown on top and knife inserted in center comes out clean.
NOTE - I like to prebake the pastry shell for about 10 minutes before filling.
