     burger-bean/grain with salsa

Ingredients
1 1/2 c cooked grain (i.e. barley grits)
2 c rinsed and drained cooked beans/legumes (i.e. chickpeas)
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp pink himalayan sea salt
1/4 c - 1 tbs chunky salsa
1/4 c - 2 tbs breadcrumbs
 
toppings (avocado, tomato, mayo, lettuce, onion, cheese)
hamburger buns

Instructions
Preheat oven for 400F. Add all ingredients plus 1/4 cup of the bread crumbs to a food processor. Process for 45-60 seconds, until all ingredients are blended together, but still a little bit chunky. Transfer mixture to a medium sized bowl and refrigerate for about 10 minutes. Remove from the refrigerator and stir in the remaining 2 tablespoons of bread crumbs. Form mixture into patties. You will get about 6 patties, depending on the size you make them. Line a large sheet pan with lightly oiled parchment paper and place black bean burgers on. Bake for 30 minutes flipping halfway.
