     Beef with Broccoli

Ingredients
14 1/2 oz. can beef broth
1/2 c soy sauce
1/4 c brown sugar
1 Tbsp. sesame oil
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 lb. sirloin steak, sliced thin
4 tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 c water
1 head of fresh broccoli, cored, chopped
 
2 c cooked white rice

Instructions
In the crock, whisk together beef broth, soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and garlic.
Add steak to crock and stir well to coat.
Place lid on slow cooker and cook on Low for 5-6 hours.
After cooking time is complete, in a small bowl mix cornstarch and water. (Season with a little pepper.) Pour over mixture in the slow cooker. Add the broccoli and stir well to combine everything. Return the lid to the slow cooker, kick the temperature up to High, and cook for an additional 30 minutes, or until broccoli is cooked.
Serving Suggestions
Serve over warm rice.
