     Mexican stuffed shells

12 jumbo pasta shells
1 lb. ground beef
12 oz jar mild or medium picante sauce
1/2 cup water
8 oz can tomato sauce
4 1/2 oz can green chilies
1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
1 can French fried onions

Heat oven to 350. Brown ground beef. Mix picante sauce water and tomato sauce. Stir 1/2 cup of picante sauce mixture into the ground beef. Stir chilies, 1/2 cup cheese and 2/3 of the onions into the beef mixture.
Spread half the remaining sauce mixture into bottom of the baking dish. Stuff cooked shells with beef mixture. Arrange in dish on top of sauce. Top with remaining sauce.
Bake, covered for 30 minutes, Top with rest of cheese and the rest of the onions. Bake 5 more minutes.
