Grease 8 x 12 glass baking dish. In large bowl,
combine flour, granulated sugar, 1/2 cup brown
sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
In small bowl, combine butter, eggs, and
buttermilk. Stir into dry ingredients until just
combined. Fold in apples. Spoon batter into
greased dish.
Combine remaining brown sugar, pecans, cinnamon,
and nutmeg. Sprinkle over batter. Refrigerate,
covered, several hours or overnight. Bake in
preheated 350 oven 35 to 40 minutes until a
toothpick comes out clean. Drizzle with glaze.
Glaze. In small bowl, combine 1/2 cup powdered
sugar, 1 1/2 tsp soft butter, 1/4 tsp vanilla,
and 1 to 2 Tbsp milk until smooth.
