     Cream cheese pound cake

Ingredients
1 1/2 C butter at room temp
1 8oz pkg cream cheese at room temp
3 C sugar
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp salt
6 large eggs at room temp
3 C sifted CAKE FLOUR
 

Instructions
Grease nonstick tube pan or 2 md loaf pans. On high speed beat butter, cream cheese and sugar, scraping bowl to help incorporate as needed until light and fluffy. Beat in vanilla and salt. On low beat in eggs, one at a time, beating well after each egg and scraping down bowl as needed. Beat in flour in two additions, scrape bowl.
Pour batter into pan or pans, smooth tops and tap on counter lightly to release any bubbles. Transfer to center rack of cold oven. Heat oven to 325. Bake until golden brown and toothpick inserted in cake near center comes out clean. about 1 hour 20 minutes.
let cool in pan about 10 min. Transfer from pan to rack and cool completely. Sprinkle with confectioners sugar
