     Creamy clam chowder

Ingredients
2 tbl butter
1 potato peeled and chopped into small pieces
1 tsp onion powder or 2 tbl chopped onion
2 6.5oz cans of minced clams
1 8oz bottle clam juice
1 C light cream
cayenne pepper
black pepper
1 tsp sugar
 
oyster crackers

Instructions
In pot melt butter over medium heat. Add potatoes and onion or onion powder. Coo stirring until starting to soften about 5 min
Add clams and clam juice. Cover and reduce heat to medium low. Cook until potatoes are tender about 20 minutes. Add cayenne and black pepper to your taste. Stir in cream and sugar. Bring to a simmer and cook about 5 min. Serve with oyster crackers. DELICIOUS
