SAUCE- In a 10-inch frying pan, Sauté the onions and
garlic in the olive oil until soft. Add the sauce, parmesan cheese,
oregano and crushed pepper and simmer for 15 minutes
over low heat.
CLAMS- Rinse the clams in cold water. Place them
in a steamer basket and steam until all are open,
approximately 15 minutes.
Arrange the clams in a shallow bowl for each serving
and ladle the sauce over each clam. Pour any
remaining sauce within the bowl.
