     Quick Zuppa Clams

Ingredients
24 littleneck clams
15 ounce can, Hunts tomato sauce
4 cloves garlic, sliced thin
1/4 cup yellow onion, diced
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp crushed red pepper
1 tbsp grated parmesan cheese
3 tbsp olive oil
 

Instructions
SAUCE- In a 10-inch frying pan, Sauté the onions and garlic in the olive oil until soft. Add the sauce, parmesan cheese, oregano and crushed pepper and simmer for 15 minutes over low heat.
CLAMS- Rinse the clams in cold water. Place them in a steamer basket and steam until all are open, approximately 15 minutes.
Arrange the clams in a shallow bowl for each serving and ladle the sauce over each clam. Pour any remaining sauce within the bowl.
Serving Suggestions
Serve with garlic bread
