     Butter swim bisquits

2 1/2 C all purpose flour
4 tsp baking powder
1 1/2 tsp salt
4 tbl sugar
4 tbl butter flavored shortening
1 1/2 C buttermilk
1 stick unsalted butter divided

Preheat oven to 450 In a large bowl whisk together flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Cut in the shortening until the mixture is crumbly. Slowly add in buttermilk a little at a time just until a wet dough forms. You might have to adjust the buttermilk more or less.
Melt 7 tbl of butter and pour into a 8x8 glass baking dish. Spoon the biscuit dough on top of the butter and gently spread it out. Precut the dough into 8 squares. This will allow the butter to get to all corners of each biscuit. Bake for 18 minutes or until golden
Remove from oven and allow the butter to absorb into the biscuits. Brush the tops of the biscuits with remaining tbl of butter. Serve...Yummy!
