Sift the powdered sugar.
Cream together the butter and powdered sugar for
three minutes.
Stir in the egg and oil.
Stir in the vanilla and almond extract.
Sift together the all purpose flour, kosher salt,
baking powder and bankig soda. Pour this into the
wet ingredients and stir together until combined.

Preheat over to 325 degrees(yes 325)
10 minutes before the dough is done chilling.
Using a three tablespoon cookie scoop, scoop out
the cookie dough onto a baking sheet that has been
lined with parchment paper. Bake for 10 minutes.

The cookies will look slightly underbaked when you
take them out of the oven. Let them cool 5 minutes
then tranfer to a wire rack to finish cooling.

To make the sweet almond icing, beat together the
butter and powdered sugar. Slowly add in the
milk, beating as you go. Add in almond extract
to the icing. Dip the end of a toothpick in red
food coloring gel,swipe it in the frosting,
little by little stirring in between until the
desired color has been reached.Once the cookies
are completely cooled and have set, ice the
cookies. Chill in the fridge

It is important to underbake these cookies! If they bake until golden on the bottom the won't taste how they should.
