1/2 loaf of Easter bread (Kozonuk) or day old French bread (cutup)
2 1/2 sticks melted butter
1/2 cup yellow raisins - if use Kozonuk bread use 1/4 cup
1/2 cup chopped pecans or more
9 large eggs beaten
1 3/4 cups sugar (if use French bread use 2 cups)
5 1/2 cups of Half & Half
1 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1 Tbsp real vanilla
Instructions
Cut up bread into small-med size cubes and mix
melted butter all over in a large bowl. Mix in
pecans and raisins.
Beat up 9 eggs well, and add sugar then blend good.
Add Half & Half, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, & vanilla.
Pour custard mixture over bread/butter/nuts/raisins.
Mix with a spoon very well.
9x13 Buttered glass dish. Pour into buttered dish.
Bake at 350 - 375 degrees for 45 min - 55 min or
until lightly brown. The knife comes out clean from
the center.

Suggestions
Serve warm - cut into squares - can serve with vanilla sauce on top (pudding mix)
