Filling-

3 cups honey dates, chopped fairly small
|
|
1 cup water
|
|
Put dates and water in sauce pan and cook on low for about 10 minutes or until dates have absorbed m

Remove from heat and cool to room temperature.

|
Crumbs-
|
|
2 cups oats
|
|
3/4 cup whole wheat flour
|
|
|
|
1/2 tsp. baking soda
|
|
pinch'o nutmeg (use your discretion but remember nutmeg is a powerhouse so bit-by-bit!)
|
|
1 heaping Tbsp. of cinnamon (or however much you like)
|
|
1 cup olive oil
|
|
3 Tbps. honey, option to try for a heavier crust
|
|
Etra on top- (feel free to add any of these on top)
|
|
chia seeds
|
|
chopped nuts or seeds (walnuts, pecans)
