1/2 c unsweetened cocoa powder (Droste is best for this recipe)
Instructions
Position rack in center of the oven. Preheat to 350 degrees.
Cream butter, add vanilla, sugar and salt. Beat to mix on low speed.
Add flour and cocoa, beating only until mixture holds together. Form dough into a ball and flatten slightly. On a floured board, roll to 1/2 inch thick. Cut cookies with a round cutter, place 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake 25 minutes. Do not overcook. These become like hockey pucks if overcooked.
