     Alfredo Sauce

Ingredients
1/2 cup plus 1 or 2 tablespoons of butter
3 cups of heavy whipping cream (you can use 1/2 and 1/2 or light cream. I use 2 cups of light cream
a few pinches of nutmeg or ginger
3/4 cup grated Parmesan
3/4 cup grated Romano
3 egg yolks
 

Instructions
Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat then add the cream and whisk or stir continuously
Stir in the Parmesan and Romano and then whisk until melted.
Add the egg yolks and spices. Whisk until everything has mixed well then simmer over medium-low for 3 to 5 minutes.
You can add bits of ham, pork, chicken or even peas and cooked ground beef
