1 2/3 cups of milk
|

1/2 vanilla bean (split lengthwise)
|

1 red chili pepper, split and seeded
|
|
1 cinnamon stick, around 3-4" (or a few shakes of ground cinnamon)

1 1/2 oz bittersweet chocolate

Instructions |
|
|
Simmer the milk in a saucepan with the vanilla bean, cinnamon
and chili for a minute or two.
|

|
Then, whisk in your grated chocolate and continue to simmer until
all the chocolate is melted.
|
|
|
Remove the pan from the stove, and let "steep" for another ten
minutes or so.
|
|
|
Strain out the spices and serve.
|
