     Salsbury Steak

Ingredients
2-3 lb round steak
1 lb fresh Mushrooms
1 Medium Yellow Onion
2-3 Tablespoons Flour
Salt and Pepper to taste
 

Instructions
Slice round steak into about 4 ounce pieces of meat. Salt and pepper both sides and coat with flour. Fry in saute pan on medium high until brown, set aside until all pieces are browned.
Place the round steak in a six quart pot and cover with water and bring up to a boil. While waiting for this to come up to a boil slice mushrooms and add to pot. Then coarse chop your onion and add to pot. When water comes to a boil turn down to a simmer and salt and pepper to taste. Also at this time you can add some wine. Anything that you drink, white, red, rose'.
Cover and allow this to simmer about 4 hours or until meat if fork tender. Then remove the meat and make a flour water mixture to thicken the sauce to a gravy.
Serving Suggestions
Best served with mashed potatoes
