     Filet Mignon with Rich Balsamic Glaze

Ingredients
2 (4oz) filet mignon steaks
1/2 tsp fresh ground black pepper to taste
salt to taste
1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
1/2 cup dry red wine
pinch brown sugar
glove or two of garlic, minced
 

Instructions
Sprinkle salt and pepper on both sides of steaks
Heat nonstick skillet over med-hi heat. Place steaks in hot pan cook 1 minute on each side, or until browned. Reduce heat to med-low and add vinegar and wine, and sugar and garlic. Cover, cook for 4 min on each side, basting with sauce when you turn meat over.
Remove steaks to 2 warmed plates, spon glaze over and serve immediately
