Preheat griddle or skillet over med-high heat and great with butter or spray before heating. Mix everything together except the bread and powdered sugar. I make my bread into strips to make it a finger food.
Dip the bread into the batter and put in the skillet and cook 1 to 2 minutes on each side until golden brown. Sprinkle with the powdered sugar, serve with syrup.
