Cook lasagna according to package directions. Brown beef and onion, drain well. Season with salt and pepper, as desired.
Butter bottom of 13 x 9 pan. Place a layer of noodles, then coat noodles with beaten egg. Layer meat, sauce, then cheese. Repeat (beginning with noodles) until all ingredients are exhausted.
Bake for 1 hour at 325 degrees or until cheese is browning.
