     Unstuffed Cabbage

Ingredients
1 head cabbage, cut in small stripes and put into a large stock pot
1 or 2 eggs
2 # ground sirloin
Grated onion to taste, about 1/2 large
1 32 oz. bottle Heinz ketchup
1 33 oz (1 liter) bottle Schweppes ginger ale
 

Instructions
Add ginger ale and ketchup to cabbage. Cover and bring to boil. Cook 15 min.
Grate or finely chop onion and add to meat. Mix well with eggs. Form into small balls and add to sauce and cabbage Simmer covered for 1 1/2 hours
Serve immediately or it's even better the next day. Can be frozen Serve over rice for a complete meal.
