     Overnight French Toast

Ingredients
8 (1" thick) slices French bread (about 6x3" each)
5 eggs
3 tablespoons sugar
1 cup milk
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup light cream
2 tablespoons vanilla
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 cup butter
 
1/2 cup confectioners' sugar, blended with 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions
Cut each slice of bread in half, diagonally, place in one layer in large baking dish. Beat eggs and sugar one minute, beat in milk and sugar one minute, beat in milk and cream, vanilla and nutmeg. Pour over bread evenly. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.
To finish, melt 1/4 cup butter in frying pan. Saute bread slices until golden. Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar mixture.
