Mix shortening, sugar and boiling water and let cool. Dissolve yeast in luke warm water. Add cold water, well beaten eggs, yeast, and flour to mixture of shortening, sugar and water. Mix well and place in refrigerator over night.
About 4 1/2 hours before baking, remove from refrigerator. Knead slightly, roll out on floured board to about 1/4 inch thickness. spread generously with melted butter, sprinkle heavily with brown sugar, cinnamon and walnuts.
Roll as for jelly roll. Cut in 24 1" pieces, place in greased pans and let rise until double in bulk. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Ice with powdered sugar glaze when cool. Can freeze.
