     Grandma Maddux pumpkin pie

Ingredients
1 16 oz can pumpkin
2 eggs
1 scant cup sugar
1 tsp nutmeg or 3/4 tsp fresh nutmeg
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 T fresh ginger
butter the size of a walnut
salt to taste
1 1/2 to 2 c milk
 
one single pie crust
Instructions
heat pumpkin, sugar, butter, milk and spices in a soucepan
beat eggs and add just before pouring into crust
Bake at 425 degrees for 10 minutes then at 300 until done like a custard. Usually close to an hour.
